Art Party Outfit

Mai & I went to Art Party VIII in downtown. WHAT. a. NIGHT. First we got ready at her crib, then dropped by my aunt's place to return some frozen dried shrimp(don't ask), went to NY Nick's and had the best pasta and clams in my life, realized we were too early for AP8 so we walked to the Leisure Club for some sick Intelligentsia coffee and espresso torte, wandered into Vinyl Music Hall where the party was at, rolled around trying to push our way through, left, went to Sluggo's to see Melissa b/c Gravys was DJing, and went back home. I went to AP last year as my first time and thought it was awesome. Pensacola actually has an art scene albeit hidden!
Last year I wore my Rodarte leopard print bow dress with navy tight, black ankle boots, black belt, and navy blue military-esque Tulle jacket.

This year I wore my Betsey Johnson cupcake dress with sequins, chunky string of pearls, entwined mini hat(by me, of course), grey tights, white vintage ankle boots, and a pink glittery lips ring.

Mai got an awesome, flattering purple with black ruffles dress, a double-wound long necklace, Peacock headband (by entwined), and black heels.

Dressing up was the best part for me- rarely do I get to go all out and look a little bit crazy quirky fashionable. Funny thing is, I looked crazy out of place in public but once we went inside AP8, I felt like the most normally-dresses lass in the place.

Oops, left my body paint and fairy wings at home.

Proud of myself. Not only did I NOT purchase any fashion pieces for 30 days, I didn't do it for 15 days. Yep. I saved my day with Melissa when she scheduled to go thrifting with me. My first purchase in 45 days?

A royal blue pencil skirt. The next day I bought a white/grey striped shirt and a royal blue cardi(new with tags) at the Goodwill on MLK Jr. Day. They were having a 20% off sale- I mean, 20% off of $3 is like, nada but who's complaining? LOVE IT!
